The very beautiful Llyn Gwynant (near Caernarfon) also attracts many watersports enthusiasts. Canoeing, kayaking and rafting, for sport or recreation, is readily available throughout Snowdonia, from gentle introductions to the wildest white water experiences and toughest challenges. The options are endless but Afon Conwy, Afon Glaslyn and Afon Llugwy all provide opportunities for the experienced.
Important notice regarding the legal situation regarding paddling: Many inland waters especially the smaller, upland rivers and lakes are privately owned. You must have permission to enter the water - entering without permission constitutes an act of trespass. Please contact the WCA local access office listed.
