Approximately an hours drive from Harlech is Trefriw Woollen Mills.

Tour the working mill museum and see the machines on which the raw wool is transformed into beautiful bedspreads, tapestries and tweeds. All the processes are carryied out at Trefriw from fleece to fabric, on carding engines, spinning mules, doubling machine, warping mill and Dobcross looms.

During the summer there are demonstrations of hand spinning, you can even have a go yourself.

The Weaver's Garden has specimen plants which provide fibres, natural dyes, textile tools, soaps, and moth repellents.
